This was our Curry Ciopino, which was paired with Sierra Nevada's Ovila Abbey Saison.

We had a wonderful time with our 6-Course Sierra Nevada Beer Pairing Dinner in November.  Many thanks need to go out.  First, to Brian Dwyer of Sierra Nevada for leading us through each beer tasting.  Second, to Gusta.com, the global community of connecting food lovers with chefs and events that they would love.  Third, to Michelle Arazoza of Union Beer for helping us put the event together. Fourth, to Chef Matthew Garelick for another great dinner, and Chef Chris Hamil for helping churn it out.  2 people pushing out 30+ simultaneous covers?  Beast.

But with this post, as it is photo-centric, we thank Larry Westler, our photographer here and at pretty much all of our other events.  For anyone who is looking for a good photographer, I highly suggest Larry, who is ultra-talented, very diligent and hard working.  You could see our full gallery, plus photos from other events, here.

Risotto Milanese with Port Wine Braised Oxtail, paired with the Sierra Nevada Tumbler

Our beer dinner series is my personal favorite events at the Manchester.  Our upcoming dinner celebrates Hudson’s and my 3rd year of owner of the Manchester Pub, and takes place in two grouped seatings (6:00pm and 8:30pm) on Saturday December 10.  This is a Beer AND Whiskey pairing dinner, and features Captain Lawrence brewer and Hudson Whiskey of Tuthilltown Spirits as the featured distiller. The menu is conceived and prepared by Chef Matthew Garelick (Sous Chef of the Wall and Water Restaurant, Chef Consultant of the Manchester Pub) and features a hearty holiday theme.  The price is $60 per person, but Gusta.com will give you a $10 discount if you enter the code GOODPAIRINGS at checkout.

A great dinner paired with a great beer from Sierra Nevada. Of course, a good time had by all.
