Samuel Adams Beer Tasting Dinner (A Night In Pictures)
Posted by Lawrence on Jun 07, 2011
1st course: Hickory Smoked Scallop with Sweet Corn Purée and Radish Salad, pared with the Samuel Adams East West Kolsch.
Our recent beer pairing dinner celebrated Memorial Day by pairing a backyard BBQ inspired 5-course dinner with America’s largest craft brewery Samuel Adams. Yeah yeah, I know Chef David Burke did one a days afterwards where Samuel Adams founder Jim Koch actually showed up to support. I don’t have to go to that dinner to tell you that our dinner was better, not just in value but on a course for course basis. There, I said it.

2nd course: "Bar-B-Que" with (1) Short Rib and Mushroom Burger with Blue Cheese and Port, (2) Franks and Beans –Merguez Sausage and Braised Lamb Cassoulet and (3) Housemade Pickles. Paired with Samuel Adams Boston Lager.
The menu was created and executed by our Chef Matthew Garelick with the support of Chef de Cuisine Chris Hamil and Sous Chefs Pete Ilch and Connie Sun. The pictures you see here are taken by the awesomely talented and professional Larry Westler. Come check out our entire gallery here.

Fourth Course: Maple Caraway Glazed Pork Loin and Hams BBQ Smoked St. Louis Rib with Smoked Cheddar Mac and Cheese and Early Summer Bean Salad. Paired with Samuel Adams Summer Ale.
We served over 90 patrons through 2 seatings on Wednesday May 25, 2011 and 1 seating on Thursday May 25, 2011, this was our biggest dinner yet! Thank you all for selling out all the seats, and continuing to support our goal of being the best bar in New York City through pairing great food with great beer. Stay tuned here for our upcoming schedule of beer pairing dinners!
